Georgetown, Coloado is a historic, former mining mountain town about 45 miles west of Denver and features cute shops and the Georgetown Loop Railroad.
Chances are you’ve driven past Georgetown on your way to go skiing and never given it much thought. However this little town is a great starting location for engagement photos because it’s close to Guanella Pass. You two can walk the streets of this once upon a time mining town that is now home to establishments like the Buckskin Trading Company and Grizzley Creek Gallery on 6th and Rose Street.
A quick drive up Guanella Pass road provides an engagement photo location with aspen trees, winding roads and wilderness. The road typically opens around Memorial Day weekend and closes mid to late November. You could make a weekend out of your session by planning to camp when we’re done taking photos and climb Mt. Bierstadt the following day.
