If you’re up for an adventure, the 4-mile out and back hike up Shrine Ridge will reward you with lush meadows and expansive views of the Holy Cross Wilderness and Gore Range. The area is also known for being one of the best locations for wildflowers in the state. Typical peak season for the wildflowers here is late July to early August, depending on snowpack.
