On my drive to meet Briana and Tim for their fall engagement in Boulder I was a little concerned that the wildfire smoke would have an impact on the images. Colorado has literally been on fire for a large portion of the year. The smoke filled landscapes is a mild inconvenience compared to the homes and businesses lost in the several fires this season and we accepted it as such. I joined them and their dog at Chautauqua Park to start the session.

As the sun began to set we ventured up Flagstaff Road in search of some epic views and even better light. I appreciated their adventurous mentality as they climbed up whatever I asked. Around sever bends in the road we pulled over to find something a little bit better and we did. Personally I love the image of them high up on a rocky point on Flagstaff Mountain but the views at Lost Gulch Lookout were hard to beat as well. The popular spot to take in sunset was quiet when we arrived but quick became busier as sunset approached. Thankfully several groups moved for us so we could capture some beautiful images of Briana and Tim.
