frequently asked questions
What is your wedding photography style?
I’m a photojournalist at heart and telling stories is ingrained in what I do. I actually worked for newspapers, magazines and national wire services so I’m trained to capture moments. I believe that moments tell the story of a wedding day the best and that is what I focus on. I’m passionate about developing a rapport with you, your friends and family because gaining that trust is what enables me to capture the truly memorable moments of your day. Do you always work with a second photographer?
Yes. I regularly work with a few carefully selected colleagues with similar style, experience and gear. It’s important that I work with seasoned professionals that I trust because my clients deserve the best.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
I do my best to deliver your photos in a couple weeks because I know how eager you are to see them but during busy season this can take up to four weeks. I concentrate on capturing images correctly in the camera but I still take an immense amount of personal pride in delivering the best possible product so every image you receive is carefully selected, color corrected, toned and cropped.
What type of gear do you use?
I use top end professional Canon cameras and lenses as well as lighting for the reception and portraits. I also carry professional backup gear to ensure that I’m always prepared. Between myself and the second photographer we bring upwards of 5-6 cameras and 13-15 lenses to every wedding and that’s just a portion of the gear that we use.
Do you take posed family photos? How about details?
Yes! Documenting the close members of your family and friends is important for history sake. As a result, I shoot posed family photos as simple and classic as possible. These are the images that will be passed down generations so I capture them with the utmost care. The same goes for wedding details because it’s what makes your wedding unique.
Can you photograph our wedding outside of Colorado?
Absolutely! I have travelled all over the country to photograph clients’ weddings. I’d love to talk with you about what you’re planning and put together a custom quote for you. Contact me to learn more.
We love your work and would love to book you. How do we do that?
First, contact me below so I can ensure that I have your date available. After that I’ll be in touch to find a time to chat with you both either in person or via FaceTime/Skype. After that I’ll send you instructions on how to pay the $1000 deposit and complete the agreement. Once I receive both the deposit and agreement, the date is yours.
