These two are absolutely vibrant and a joy to be around. Energy often contributes a significant amount to a session and Maggie and Dan brought it with them to Piney Lake for this glamorous mountain engagement. Like many others, they had to reschedule their wedding this year so they opted to do an engagement session on their original wedding weekend. Being somewhat new to Denver, they knew they wanted to incorporate the mountains and were totally game when I suggested Piney Lake for their session.

They’re absolutely adorable together and in just a short time I can recognize how perfect they are for each other. Dan is caring and looks out for Maggie. He even offered up his hiking boots when Maggie forgot hers. She’s full of energy and kept Dan smiling and laughing all afternoon.

Between the smoke from nearby wildfires and the low, dense clouds I wasn’t sure we would have much of a view of the Gore Range at Piney. Thankfully it was just clear enough to see the spectacular mountain peaks that the location is known for. We were even treated to 40 seconds of alpenglow as the sun set that really brought out the color of Maggie’s gown.

It was a treat to spend the day with these two and I hope our paths cross again soon. Congratulations Maggie and Dan!
