This past Saturday, I traveled north to photograph Meghan and Jeremy’s Lyons Farmette wedding. It’s a wonderful vintage venue near Boulder which makes it easy for guests. Their day was one of the most laid back weddings that I’ve documented in a while but there were tons of moments to be had. Mother Nature played nice and although Jeremy’s pants ripped before the ceremony, one of the bridesmaids quickly mended them with fabric glue, which is the first time I’ve seen that at a wedding.
The Farmette is quaint but provided an excellent backdrop for the wedding. One of the unique features of the venue is the Airstream trailer that plays host to the bridal prep. It will be hard to find a more unique room in that regard. The outdoor ceremony is set between the farm animals and the river and a downed tree branch provides an excellent focal point. In order to really capture the space, I mounted a camera to a 14ft tree trimming pole and held it up as high as I could to provide a bird’s eye view during the ceremony.
Meghan and Jeremy continued their casual theme with the help of a food truck and ice cream for guests that everyone loved.
Travis and I definitely enjoyed making some great moments thanks to both an amazing venue and their easygoing day. I can’t wait to get back for another Lyons Farmette wedding again in the future.
